We had a great time taking a tour of the Mekong Delta, visiting Vinh Long along the way and spending two nights in Can Tho - the largest city in the Mekong. We stayed at the Victoria Can Tho in faux colonial splendor. The highlight (and the main reason we went down there) was to take the hotel’s “breakfast barge.” We boarded at 6:30 and took a slow ride down the river while eating a fabulously sumptuous breakfast. And we had the whole boat to ourselves! It was awesome.
