We're going to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam!!

(Thanks, Sean)

Pho!  Beef noodle soups!  Bar girls!  Previously known as Saigon, it's a city of 6 million people, and even though it isn't the capital, it's the largest city in Vietnam.  It's the commercial and industrial center of the country, which means that there are lots of great restaurants.  It's 3-4 hours to nice, pristine beaches and easily accessible - by air - to the surrounding countries.

The consulate is situated on the grounds of the old US Embassy right in the middle of HCMC.  I'll be the Chief of the American Citizen Services section of the consulate.  If you end up in jail, get your passport stolen, give birth over there or die, you'll be dealing with me.

We won't be there until Fall 2006.  Start saving your money for the airfare.  Lodging and street food on us!
