Outside one of the polling places. Notice all the political banners
strewn about. The people standing here were handing out "sample ballots"
listing their choice of candidates, of course.
All the polling places were at the public shools. These are voters
filling out their ballots.
These voters are lined up to vote.
Here's Sonia and Luna outside one of Cebu's largest schools.
This is the counting process. It's all done by hand. Someone
reads out each ballot and someone else marks each vote on those big tally
sheets posted on the board. Each set of tally sheets (basically,
each classroom) represented a precinct of around 200 voters. It's
obvious why it takes weeks to get final results for national positions.
