Bohol

March 2001

Bohol is an island in the Visayas region of the Philippines.  This is at the Bohol Beach Club.

Bohol is also known for the "Chocolate Hills."  These are hundreds of little hills that dot one region of the island.  They're called the chocolate hills because they turn brown in the summer.

The picture on the right was taken right by our hotel.  These people are wading around picking up clams.  Notice how clear the water is.  On the right is my cousin Kongkoy and his relative Vitoy.  Note the mass quatities of food - the seafood was fantastic!

On the left is one a river that runs through the middle of Bohol.  On the right, take a close look and you'll see a couple of guys riding a motorcycle, with one of them holding an inflated whale shark above his head.

This is a Tarsier, the smallest primate in the world.  They're indigenous to Bohol
